Janja Prokić is a Serbian-born designer based in Prague, renowned for her conceptual jewellery that blends fine art with wearable design. Her creations are often described as miniature sculptures, each imbued with deep personal and symbolic meaning.
Janja moved to Prague at the age of nine and pursued her artistic education at several prestigious institutions - Academy of Fine Arts, Prague – Studied painting under Vladimír Skrepl, Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design (AAAD), Prague – Studied sculpture under Kurt Gebauer, AAAD, Prague – Completed her studies in the K.O.V. studio of Eva Eisler, focusing on conceptual jewellery design.
Her background in fine arts deeply influences her jewellery, which often reflects themes from her personal life, dreams, and cultural heritage.
Each collection is unique, often incorporating elements of shamanism and symbolism.
In August 2022, Janja opened her own boutique in Malá Strana, Prague. The space serves as both a showroom and a private lounge for individual visits, offering a comprehensive experience of her work.
